I got the idea to start California Clothing Sunwear Corp. in 1994 after some friends of mine in New York City wanted me to send them some Hawaiian shirts and trunks because they couldn't find anything like them on the East Coast. We scraped together enough money to put together a Web site, www.californiaclothing.com and buy a few racks of "California" clothing. The rest is history.
